Your question is too cryptic to allow for a proper response. For example:
– What software/version are you using?
– What do you mean by zone attributes not being connected to link attributes?
– Do you have geographical layers for both network and zoning?
I have shape layers for links (which include the centroid connectors as well), shape layer of nodes ( including th e connectors) and ashape layer for node.
I created the network using the link file and node file. I want the zone shape file also to be a part of the network because i have an vehicle trips OD for Zones

TransCad does not work with layers of links and nodes independently (all link layers are associated with node layers). If you want to use the same node IDs you have in your node layer, then you will need to do some processing.
The zone layer will NEVER be a part of the network because it is an area layer, and TransCad does not allow features of different types in the same layer (nodes, links and areas). The connection between zones and the network are through the centroid ID, which is the same as the zone ID to which corresponds.
For the assignment you still need to decide the algorithm and obtain the parameters for the assignment algorithm (and volume delay function) you will use. In short, it demands some more TransCad knowledge than I can convey here. I suggest you to do the TransCad tutorials and look for help from your peers. Consulting with Caliper (in case you have a current support contract) and sending e-mails to the users group is also helpful.
